ENERSOL PRODUCTS INC. warrants to the original owner  (you) the S-1000 solar collectors manufactured by it to be free from defects in materials for a period of fifteen (15)  years from the date of installation. If any solar collector should be found to be defective due to faulty materials, and Enersol is notified within thirty (30) days of the discovery of such a condition, Enersol Products Inc. will at its option, either repair or replace such  panels subject to the following conditions: 

1. Enersol Products Inc. obligation hereunder  becomes effective only  if the enclosed warranty card or a reasonable facsimile is is fully completed by Consumer and  returned to Warrantor within thirty (30) days after the date of purchase by Consumer.  This Limited Warranty goes exclusively to the original Consumer and is with respect to the original installation only.

2. The Buyer has notified Enersol Products Inc. or its authorized agent, in writing, of any defects with the materials covered by this warranty.

3. Costs of shipping are the sole responsibility of the purchaser when a panel is returned to Enersol Products Inc.

4. Installation has been performed in accordance with Enersol Products Inc. installation instructions and the expressed procedure for Winterization and Summerization are followed.

5. This warranty does not apply to conditions resulting from failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance, or to conditions resulting from repair or alteration by anyone other than Enersol Products Inc. or a duly authorized agent.  Abuse, negligence, accident, freezing or acts of God will void this warranty.

6. This Limited Warranty excludes the cost of labor to remove or replace any defective solar collector or installation of replacement parts.

7. This warranty does not cover consequential damages such as damage to your home, loss of time, inconvenience or loss of use of the solar collectors or any incidental expenses resulting from any breach of the express warranty.

TERM OF WARRANTY

Enersol Products Inc. will either repair or replace defective solar collector components provided you pay to Enersol Products Inc. the difference between the suggested retail price of  the materials at the time of the warranty claim, and the prorated portion of  the original suggested retail price according to the following schedule:

IN GENERAL:

Enersol Products Inc. makes no warranty as to the performance of it’s solar collectors.  Components other than solar panels are not covered  by this Limited Warranty.

The express warranty obligation set forth herein shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part and Enersol Products Inc. will not be liable for consequential damages sustained  in connection with this material.  All other warranties expressed or implied are void.   

Winterization in Cold Climates  

Winterization for your solar system must be done AFTER your pool is closed.

Follow these simple steps BEFORE freezing temperatures begin:

1. Go to the highest point of the collectors and pipes and open the top corner end cap. Remove the opposite bottom corner end cap. Work your way along just the rubber, from top to bottom, chasing any remaining water out the rubber tubes.  REPEAT SEVERAL TIMES.  DO NOT DISTURB THE TOP AND BOTTOM ROWS OF HEADERS.  If in doubt you can open a section and drain out excess water.  Blowing the lines with a vacuum cleaner many NOT remove water properly.

2. A general inspection of the roof at this time is wise.  Check for loose lag bolts, leaves or debris that might block the run-off of rain water.

3. Open all end caps at down pipes, pump house and blow any underground lines. Generally, make sure that no water remains in any low pipes, sags in pipe, valleys or any part of system.

4. Valves MUST be turned to be half way open or half way closed. On motorized valves, turn switch to “TEST”.    Let valve turn  half  way.  Pull the electric cord.  This way water cannot get trapped in valve.  

Summerization in Hot Climates

In areas that experience hot summers, and roof mounted solar systems are exposed to temperatures in excess of 150 degrees Fahrenheit,  and water IS NOT circulating through the system,  the use of a ‘DRAIN DOWN VALVE’ and a ‘ONE WAY CHECK VALVE’ is necessary.  It is important to remember that in prolonged periods of inactivity,   the solar system MUST BE DRY.  Non-circulating water left in extreme heat over extended periods of time may become stagnant and promote bacterial growth.  ALWAYS KEEP YOUR WATER CHEMISTRY IN GOOD BALANCE.
